Social contribution activities

Social contribution initiatives are one of the core corporate social responsibility activities we engage in as a good corporate citizen. We have formulated basic policies for the Group’s social contribution activities and are focusing on promoting initiatives that contribute to the development of science and research (medical and pharmaceutical), initiatives related to human life, such as social welfare, and initiatives related to natural life, such as environmental conservation. In terms of specific initiatives, we have established the Social Contributions Committee. This committee considers all aspects of social contributions, confirms the suitability of specific proposals and ensures transparency.

Basic global social contributions policy

• We will help create a sustainable society, engaging in activities to contribute to society.
• We will particularly prioritize progress in medicine and pharmacology, social welfare and environmental conservation.
• We will also assist with disaster restoration and youth education and promote culture and the arts.
• We will foster healthy social development by participating in and supporting volunteer work.
• We will engage with communities and help them prosper.
